Great tutorial overall- need to learn linux, looks fun too! I often go with an MMS pro duo stick cause the file transfer is more reliable and doesn’t suddenly stop reading while loading files.
Info on Splash Image:
I had to use ImageMagick convert utility to convert the image file to xpm.gz.
Otherwise renaming the file/compression in windows could not create a readable image for grub.
