Is Windows 7 a Copycat to Mac?

This goes quite interesting. Simon Aldous, a partner group manager at Microsoft had an interview with PCR recently, in which he made a surprising commend that made quite a bit buzz over the Internet when asked if Windows 7 was really a much more agile operating system.

One of the things that people say an awful lot about the Apple Mac is that the OS is fantastic, that it’s very graphical and easy to use. What we’ve tried to do with Windows 7 – whether it’s traditional format or in a touch format – is create a Mac look and feel in terms of graphics.

Even though he went on and claimed that it’s built on that very stable core Vista technology, which is far more stable than the current Mac platform, his commend of Windows 7 borrowing Mac OS is quite irritation.

Then Microsoft instantly responded on his official Windows blog that

Unfortunately this came from a Microsoft employee who was not involved in any aspect of designing Windows 7. I hate to say this about one of our own, but his comments were inaccurate and uninformed.

Yes, it’s getting boring on this kind of topic over and over again. All I know is that Windows 7 is the best Windows OS platform Microsoft ever made, from almost every aspect that I can think of.
