Virgin Media TiVo service to employ iPad app

The newly-confirmed Virgin Media TiVo on-demand service will make use of the TiVo iPad app.

 

The Virgin Media powered by TiVo service was officially launched today, delivering a catch-up TV service, with on-demand programming, a PRV box and a host of content delivered through web apps.

 

The TiVo iPad app, which is already a big hit with users of the service in the United States, will be useful as a remote control with full access to the EPG, and will offer remote recording while away from home.

 

The app, which is likely to be a fee download will be available in 2011, while the first TiVo powered Virgin Media boxes will be available from this month.
