The issue happens when flawed gadgets are being charged, and is down to an issue inside the batteries themselves, instead of force connectors or hardware. Obviously, it influences just a little rate of gadgets, however when shipments are in the millions, that still adds up to a major issue. Yonhap News Agency refers to an unknown authority saying that batteries were sourced from both China and Korea, and it’s the Korean-made batteries that are influenced. In any case, Samsung is reviewing all demonstrates no doubt.

 

To date (as of September 1) there have been 35 cases that have been reported globally and we are currently conducting a thorough inspection with our suppliers to identify possible affected batteries in the market. However, because our customers’ safety is an absolute priority at Samsung, we have stopped sales of the Galaxy Note7.
