State of the Union Gets Synthed

MSNBC is hosting a cool photosynth of President Obama’s State of the Union address over on their website. The 3D photo, created using Microsoft Photosynth technology, lets you zoom around the House of Representatives where speech took place on Wednesday January 27th. If you’ve never had the opportunity to visit the Capital building in person, this is a great way to explore the chambers up close. In fact, you can probably get closer viewing the synth than you could actually get in person, especially considering how deep you can zoom in on architectural elements like the clock above the presidential podium, for example.

You can also put this particular synth in “slideshow” mode to see time-lapsed photos of the speech in progress. Just click the play button at the top-right.
