Samsung show off 4G netbooks

In what it claims was a world first, the netbooks (like the N150 pictured) were equipped with Long Term Evolution (LTE) mobile broadband connectivity.

LTE is the successor technology to today’s HSPA 3G cellular networks and designed for downloads of up to 100Mb/s and uploads of 50Mb/s.

- Concept tech we want now

There’s also less latency with LTE: 10ms compared to 50ms with HSPA.

Realistically though we’ll be waiting another couple of years before LTE is rolled out in the UK as operators have to upgrade networks they'll be bidding for later this year.
