Windows 7 Codecs is an all-in-one codec package that contains pretty much all popular codecs. It doesn’t change or interfere with the built in Windows Media Player and Media Center, so you can use any multimedia program to play virtually all types of video format in Windows 7.

The following file types are enabled and supported by the installation of Windows 7 Codecs, which can be queued to the Windows Media Player Playlist using a right-click.

amr | mpc | ofr | divx | mka | ape | flac | evo | flv | m4b |  mkv | ogg | ogv | ogm | rmvb | xvid

It’s a program designed to be maximally simplified how video gets played. And it certainly does it quite well. Once it’s installed any video player can recognize and play all video formats without any problems.

And the best part, it’s FREE!

The software is aimed for Windows 7 but also has a version for Vista. The author of this tool also has released a 64-bit version for 64-bit lovers.

While the tool is absolutely FREE, you can always support the developer via donation if you like the tool, which will also get your name listed on their website.
