This message cannot be sent and error has occured

I use Outlook Express (6.0.6 for Vista) after the last automated update
(September 9 @ 3:00AM) I am unable to receive or send e-mail. I get the
above error on send and this: An unknown error has occurred. Account: ‘Name’,
Server: ‘Server>>>>>>>>>>>’, Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No,
Error Number: 0x80004005 when receiving. I have deleted my name and such.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Tried a system restore, no luck.
