T-Mobile has officially confirmed that the anticipated Windows Phone 7 handset, the HTC HD7 will be released on November 8th. That November 8th date seems to coincide with the rest Windows Phone 7 launches on that day. Good news for awaiting customers, it was originally thought that the HTC HD7 would be available sometime in mid-November, it’s now being pushed up to the worldwide launch date.
This might be the first flagship Windows Phone 7 device to become available to the public. So far the specs look good, and it seems that it’s gonna live up to the hype. The HTC HD7 is the successor to the wildly popular HTC HD2, that was released about his time last year.
The HTC HD series of phones are being dubbed as true “entertainment devices”. Just like the HD2 the HD7 will come with the largest screen that’s available in today’s smartphone market. You can enjoy movies and video on the 4.3-inch, 480×800 capacitive touchscreen display. I gotta say, as a HD2 owner, video looks clear and vivid. I can only imagine it looks the same on the HD7. The rest of the specs look eerily similar to the current HD2. The HD7 will be packing a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, 16GB of on-board RAM, and a 5 megapixel camera with dual LED flash, which is capable of true 720p HD video.
You can look for the super-sized Windows smartphone at T-Mobile on November 8th for $199 and a 2-year agreement. T-Mobile has also launched the official HD7 page on their site.
