Gadget-mad Stephen Fry will launch his own Apple iPad app, the suitably named FryPad, when the device goes on sale in the UK this Friday.
T3’s current Gadget Personality of the Year bagged himself a pre-release copy of the device and has decided to transfer the vast archive of blogs and ‘blessays’ from StephenFry.com onto an iPad application that will be free to download.

The first version of the app will feature Stephen’s popular blogs, with later updates to incorporate podcast and video archives. The app is also the first to use the Share Deck technology that allows users to easily share articles on Facebook, Twitter and via email.
The app will take the form of a magazine, rather than a website, with readers able to swipe from right to left in order to turn pages, rather than the conventional up and down scan.
That’s not the only entry our favourite celebrity gadgeteer will be making into the App Store. Around a week after the launch of the FryPad app, Stephen Fry’s Sound Circus will launch for iPad and iPhone. The app, which will cost £1 to download is a collection of Fry’s most popular quotes, complete with sound effects, from the last 20-years or so.
