Sony Lovefilm streaming coming next week

With Samsung already out of the blocks with its new Lovefilm-friendly TVs, Sony was never going to be far behind in detailing its plans. The tech giant has confirmed today that its new Bravia Internet Video TVs and Blu-ray players will be getting access to the ace movie service from next week.

 

In order to get involved, you’ll need to have one of the new Sony Bravia Internet Video TVs or Blu-ray players set up and good-to-go. And, of course, a subscription to Lovefilm will help matters no end.

When it lands on 17 March, the Sony Lovefilm tie in will rock a different UI to the one found on Samsung and Lovefilm tellies, using the XMB interface beloved of Sony gadget addicts and PS3 fans the world over.

 

At first, the Lovefilm service won’t be fully functional, with the ability to tinker with the list of films you’re after not available until next month.
