Vodafone has confirmed that the Android wielding Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 will be available in April. Continuing the Android advance, joining the likes of the Google Nexus One, LG InTouch Max and Motorola Milestone, keen punters can "register their interest" on the network’s website now.
There’s no word on pricing yet but with Vodafone’s previous form of being a tad pricey don’t expect it to be a bargain. But what will you get for your buck?
Running on Android 1.6 (a 2.0 update will come along later) with a 1.6GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, the X10 is expected to be a speedy powerhouse. Ericsson has also added a pair of new menu overlays; Mediascape and Timescape and a best-in-class camera at 8.1-megapixels.
Not bad for a first Android effort we think. With 2010 shaping up to be a year of Android-powered comeback kids, do you think Sony Ericsson can steal the march on the HTC trailblazers? Let us know below.
