Three has today confirmed that it will be selling the Samsung Galaxy Tab, the Android 2.2, 7-inch tablet that was met with such anticipation at last week’s IFA conference.
The network’s Dirctor of Devices Nigel Field has said “With both the Android and tablet markets going from strength to strength, we’re proud to be ranging the Samsung GALAXY Tab." The device which will offer both WiFI and 3G connectivity as a fully functioning smartphone was already confirmed for Vodafone, but now Three has joined the party as the second UK network to offer the tablet.

With Google Navigation, Email, Places, Video Calling and the Android Market, the Samsung Galaxy Tab has the potential to be extremely data hungry which is probably why Three is so confident about releasing it. "More than 97% of Three traffic over the network is data, so more than ever consumers need to make sure they’re on a network that can cope with the demand when buying mobile Internet devices like tablets."
The Samsung Galaxy Tab will be available on SIM only one month rolling contracts which include voice and data only packages.
