Samsung Galaxy Tab coming early September

The Samsung Galaxy Tab will be officially shown off at next month’s IFA gadget gathering in Berlin. That’s the word from a “high-ranking official” at the Korean tech titan and puts previous tittle tattle about a 11 August release in doubt.

Speaking to JoonaAng Daily in Korea, the insider said that as well as touting a new Smart TV and interchangeable lens cameras, “We will also showcase our tablet PC for the first time officially.”

It doesn’t get much clearer than that. The Galaxy Tab has already been spotted in the wild, with Sammy doing its best to fan the flames by drip releasing info about the new iPad-destroyer. Word is it’ll rock a 7-inch panel with dual cameras, GPS, Wi-Fi, 3G and Android 2.2 FroYo.
