While speculation surrounding the features of the newly announced Apple iPad tablet device was the biggest focus for most, we are here to give our budget savvy readers the scoop on pricing for the new device.
Steve Jobs did his usual display of a high $999 price on the screen during his announcement only for the number to shatter into the actual base price of $499. However, while this might be lower than some may have anticipated, remember this is only the base price. Pricing will go as follows for the different models of iPad released:
16 GB- $499
32GB- $599
64 GB- $699
On top of these base prices there will also be the option for consumers to upgrade to a 3G model which will take the base price up around another $130. Prices for iPads that are 3G enabled will go as follows:
16 GB- $629
32GB- $729
64GB- $829
While the entire industry has been waiting for these prices, there are even more people, at this point, concerned about the pricing for the data plans through, presumably AT&T. Well the wait is over, data plans for U.S. AT&T customers will include a 250 mb per month plan for $14.99 as well as an unlimited plan for $29.99.
