Net Neutrality: The Time Is Now

If you believe in a free and unfettered internet, now is the time to let your representatives in congress know.  Why?  Because it looks like the FCC will be voting on this issue tomorrow, Tuesday December 21st.

Here at Revision3, we’re strident supporters of Net Neutrality, because we believe that the entrenched content and IP delivery oligopolies should not be allowed to shape and control access to content.

Why?  Because we support your right to watch what you want, when you want, where you want it – without fear of your ISP slowing or blocking that video stream based on their business interest.

Whether its Revision3, Netflix, ESPN, Rush Limbaugh, or Michael Savage, you should be able to watch without fear of your ISP slowing down those bits as they traverse the net to your TV, PC, tablet or smart phone.

Ordinarily I believe that less legislation is better.  But when it comes to internet access, we do not have a free and open market.  In most areas of the country you are limited to just one or two internet service providers – and through lock-in pricing, you often can’t even easily switch.

That creates an environment where the ISPs can block or slow traffic with impunity – and some of the biggest have already been caught doing just that.

So join me in reaching out to your representatives in government, and letting them know that you support Net Neutrality.  And that you vote!
