A video trailer for the upcoming Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit has been unveiled ahead of the game’s Friday launch featuring a real-life recreation of the police vs. street racer battles seen in the game with Top Gear’s The Stig taking the wheel.
Due to hit UK shelves later this week, Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit will allow gamers to: “Experience the intensity of Cops versus Racers for the connected generation” as users are given the chance to compete on either side of the racer vs. cop dual for the first time.
Featuring, Police graphic clad Lamborghini’s and a Porsche piloted by The Stig, aka Ben Collins, the video teaser overlays the game’s graphics and features on a real life car chase that includes popular music group Roll Deep and some classic Stig-esq power slides and racing lines.
Set to face fierce competition from the upcoming release of Gran Turismo 5, Need for Speed publishers EA will be hoping the Hot Pursuit title’s cross platform availability and earlier launch will help it race into first position.
