Madison Digital ran this cool employment ad yesterday, they’ve included a QR Code for their website, an interesting approach to target designers. QR Codes, stands for Quick Response, are two dimensional codes that meant to support quick decoding its contents through camera-equipped mobile phones using a special software, they are very popular in Japan.
QR Codes were created by Japanese corporation Denso-Wave in 1994 to track parts in vehicle manufacturing, but now they are used in commercial tracking applications and convenience-oriented applications, if you see a URL in an ad in a publication or a billboard, the chances that you visit that website using your computer might be low, but if your mobile was equipped you can just use it to visit the website the QR is representing, I think it’s revolutionary! You can read more about it on wikipedia.
