Admittedly I cover applications for iPhone and Android more than for other mobile operating systems such as Symbian or BlackBerry. This is purely because of the abundance of iPhone and Android applications; moreover iPhone / Android applications usually are very useful. BlackBerry applications, in contrast, are not nearly as abundant or practical. This is why when I do discover a good BlackBerry application I make it a point to cover it as soon as possible. Which bring me to the ‘Poynt.’
Poynt is free application for BlackBerry phones. Sized at only 750KB, Poynt will not occupy a significant storage space on our phone.
The purpose of this application is to be location a finder. Whether we want to find movie theaters, retailers, or restaurants, Poynt serves us perfectly. In addition to finding our location, we can use the application to book tickets (in case of a cinema) or reservations (in case of a restaurant).
Poynt also acts as a phonebook and lets us find phone numbers of people and businesses. With simply a click, we can find phone numbers or locations.
Currently Poynt can be practically put to use in Canada, United States, Germany, United Kingdom, France, Italy, and Spain.
