There were very few betting on Chronic dev team and other iPhone hackers like Pod2g for untethered jailbreak and most of the jailbreakers are waiting for untethered iOS 4.2.1 jailbreak solution from iPhone Dev Team & comex. Despite of failure of Comex to deliver untethered on Christmas eve, iPhone Dev team got their backup plan in action which utilizes iOS 4.2 beta hashes and firmware to deliver untethered jailbreak and only possible to do it on Mac OS X.
