The ‘Eclair’ is out of the box!
For all those eagerly awaiting the release of Android 2.0, Google has now released support for Android 2.0 via an update to its SDK.
For all the developers out there, this means you can start building applications for Android 2.0 already. The new update dubbed "Android SDK Tools, Revision 3" adds support for the Android 2.0 SDK as an addon for the current SDK.

Looks like Android 3.0 (codenamed Gingerbread) might be released sometime in December. I hope they can gear this release towards tablets, I’d personally want to see some level of competition with Apple’s iPad! I am ecstatic to quite possibly see one more competitor in the industry which doesn’t have numerous constraints or even could just play Flash content.
