Foursquare Comes to Windows Mobile

The popular location-based mobile social networking game Foursquare is finally going to make its Windows Mobile debut. A new third-party application from Anand Iyer called WinMoSquare is now under development. Using Foursquare APIs, .NET, and a special GPS driver, the new app can automatically locate your position and check you in. You can also add locations and find your friends, but due to limitations in Foursquare’s API, you can’t yet see the leaderboard or add new friends on the fly.

The mobile app is currently in beta testing and works on touchscreen devices running Windows Mobile 6.1 or 6.5 only. If you want to try it out you can either email the developer (see the app annoucement here) or fill in the webform available at http://touchality.com/WinMoSquare.
