EA Sports announces Active 2.0 to help get into shape

EA Sports has dropped the white plastic Wii controllers for the new edition, and Active 2.0 will instead come with a set of motion-sensing arm and leg straps, a heart rate monitor and an online hub where users will be able to follow each other's progress (or lack thereof).

Further details, such as how the system will work using Apple's hardware, are as yet unconfirmed, as is the news on whether the Xbox will get a taste of the Active action.
