Apple iPad SDK

Apple has launched a whole bunch of new apps for its iPad tablet. But here is a good news for developers who want to jump right in to begin creating their own apps. Apple has made iPhone SDK 3.2 beta available for download just now.

As quoted on the iPad SDK website:

Start developing the next generation of innovative applications for iPad with iPhone SDK 3.2 beta. iPhone Developer Program members can download iPhone SDK 3.2 beta today.

Currently, iPhone SDK 3.2 beta is only available for download to the members of iPhone Developer Program. If you are not a member yet, you can visit the site to know how you can join it.

You can download the iPhone SDK 3.2 beta from here.

Currently the iPhone Developer Program members have access to the following features:

  1. iPhone SDK 3.2 beta, which contains all the tools for developing and optimizing applications for iPad.
  2. iPad Programming Guide which introduces features of iPad and how developers can implement them into their applications.
  3. iPad Sample Code.
  4. iPad Human Interface guidelines, through which developers can harness the new multi-touch features of iPad.
  5. iPad Simulator. It is probably the most important tool available in the iPhone SDK 3.2 beta. The simulator will help developers test their applications on their Mac PCs. It will allow developers to layout their application UI for larger screen size. Not to mention, it will also help developers to test their app for memory usage, and will reduce the app debugging process.
