In case you missed it, Bill Gates recently appeared on the Daily Show with Jon Stewart. This is his second time on the program – the last being three years ago when he showed up to promote Vista. Now he’s promoting something else entirely – the humanitarian work he’s doing with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, specifically the problems faced by the educational system in the U.S.
Of course, this being the Daily Show, there were several humorous moments, too including remarks about “robots that can love,” iPod versus Zune jokes, and my personal favorite, a joke about Twitter. Referencing Gates’ move to join the popular micro-blogging network, Stewart asked, “When you Twitter do you have to type or can you just think it and have it just appear on computers?” Gates said he still had to type.
