T-Mobile UK announced that all Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 owners will soon be getting the taste of a new software update for their Android devices. The much awaited Android 2.1 solution is here, the wireless carrier confirmed. Furthermore, the UK carrier revealed that all unlocked Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 handset owners would be able to download the updated version of the OS as the carrier pushes the solution to the users next week.
The new update is expected to be rolled out next week for both Xperia X10 and Xperia X10 mini pro handsets, available on the carrier’s airwaves.

T-Mobile UK won’t be the first one to deliver the software for Xperia handset owners as O2 had already announced the software update, which is being sent out to Xperia X10 owners.

Xperia X10:
1. HD video recording with continuous auto-focus for high quality videos
2. Upgrade of the Android Platform to Android 2.1
3. New backup and restore application, with extended content back up
4. 5 Home screens for apps, widgets, shortcuts and folders
5. Social phonebook which automatically syncs contact pictures from Facebook and shows when your friends are online.
Xperia X10 mini and X10 mini pro:
1. Improved Bluetooth functionality with support for sending and receiving pictures, contacts and more
2. New backup and restore application with extended content back up
3. Automatic synchronization of your contact pictures between Facebook and your phone book
4. Improved ways of handling pictures, audio, text and numbers in your messages
5. Upgrade of the Android Platform to Android Platform 2.1
