suspect i picked up an undetectable virus (norton went through my PC twice
and found no viruses) from Facebook. this began shortly after attempting to
answer a message that i received on facebook.

when i send an email from outlook either to myself or someone else, the
same email continues to be received every minute indefinitely. when i
originate the email in webmail the message only appears to be received once.
this used to happen in both webmail and outlook. it seems to only appear
now in outlook.
after creating a new email in outlook and sending, i immediately get an
error message and after closing the error window, the message is then
received.
do i unintsall/reinstall outlook or follow the instructions by Tom Koch
published in may, 2005, "an outlook express basic repair kit"?
